“Like many of our professional colleagues, we long held a belief that the practice of water fluoridation was highly beneficial and relatively low-risk. Currently, we feel otherwise. We are now convinced that it is of small benefit, and carries an unacceptably large risk.”
“Fluoride, at levels added to drinking water, significantly inhibits DNA polymerase, the enzyme that builds and repairs DNA. The ‘safety’ window is exceptionally small. There‚Äôs no way to control for total individual dose. Consider: bread, sodas, prepared/canned food, processed foods, may all be made with fluoridated water. Even bottled water often comes from fluoridated sources. And worse, contrary to the pundits promoting fluoride, what is added to water has NO relation to natural fluoride. The latter is calcium fluoride, far safer than sodium fluoride or the even more toxic silicofluorides (usually used).”
Fluoride is one of 213 known brain-toxic chemicals that may lower the intelligence of generations of children, reports renowned physician and 30-year brain researcher, Dr. Phillipe Grandjean in his new book, “Only One Chance: How Environmental Pollution Impairs Brain Development,” reports the New York State Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, Inc. (NYSCOF)
“Simply put: if you don’t look, you don’t find. The medical community is being kept in the dark on the possibility that fluoride, a highly toxic substance, which is deliberately added to the drinking water of 184 million Americans daily, is causing a variety of harms from the subtle to the serious.”
Does your drinking water contain added fluoride? If so, keep it away from infants under the age of one. This directive was issued recently by an unlikely source: the American Dental Association (ADA).
In an unprecedented 5-0 City Council vote on November 12, Cotati joined a growing number of college towns including Davis, California, and Portland, Oregon, voting to keep fluoridation chemicals out of their water supply.
Some symptoms include: Arthritis, Dental Fluorosis, and Fibromyalgia. People can be fluoride-intolerant (toxicity, illness or pain reactions from non-histamine response) or fluoride-allergic (histamine response) from birth or from exposure and accumulation (acquired).
In his 1973 Ph.D. thesis on the fluoridation controversy, Edward Groth III, a Stanford biology graduate student at that time, concluded that the vast majority of reviews of the literature were designed to promote fluoridation, not to examine evidence objectively. Groth also noted a number of antifluoridation reviews that were equally biased.
The city remains fluoridated, and the Sacramento salmon fishing industry remains dead. I had volunteers collect water samples above the discharge outlet and downriver from the outlet for testing. The conclusion I reached was that the discharge water that shoots out like a rapid-fired torpedo across the narrow River created a 1 ppm fluoride barrier to the salmon. The same thing may be occurring in the Snohomish River, where increasing outflows of fluoridated water create a barrier to salmon passage.
